Have You Mixxed Your Blog Lately?

Posted by Kerry on December 4th, 2007

It’s ok—we don’t mind. Honest! And we don’t mind you pushing our buttons, either. (Well, most of the time.) That’s why we’ve created a series of buttons for you to add to your blog; choose one and Mixx whatever it is that you find interesting enough to write about. Feeling a bit shy? It’s ok to get your friends to Mixx it for you; we promise not to laugh.

You’ll find the Mixx buttons on their very own page, under “The Kitchen,” which is at the bottom of every Mixx page, except this one. Buttons come in a variety of shapes and sizes so there should be one to fit your blog. And before you ask: YES! We are working on buttons that will track the votes your blog post receives. Check back soon; we’ll let you know when those are ready.

And while we’re talking buttons: USAToday was one of the first to use a Mixx button and one of the first “big media” companies to see that Mixx would be a huge benefit for users and publishers alike. Sure they’re Chris’ former employer, but Craig Moon (president and publisher of USAToday) and Kinsey Wilson (editor of USAToday.com) believed in us from the start and helped get us off the ground. So if you love us (c’mon, you do, right? Right?), show them a little love whenever you get the chance.

You’ll also find Mixx buttons on Weather.com, courtesy the Forecast Earth guys, as well as Slate, Reuters, Kaboose and—drum roll please—LATimes.com! Feel free to visit them early and often. Find something cool? Mixx and/or blog it!

Already using a Mixx button on your blog? Give yourself a shout-out in the comments!
