The Mixx Early Holiday Gift Poll

We’re looking to round out our roadmap by working on features directly requested by our Mixxers. Although we generally get around to implementing user feature requests (see definition of YAURF!™ ), we figured why not take it to the next logical step and have Mixxers VOTE on what items they want to see and in what order? Made sense to us!
On our end, we’ll agree to take the first few (hopefully 3 or 4) and get them done by the end of the year.
On your end, you only have to agree to vote. Pretty good deal.Some more details on the options:
- Improved Friends Experience
- Easier way to tell if you have a 2-way relationship with another person on Mixx
- Simpler way to tell which friends are new to following you
- Highlighting your friends in search results and story lists
- Simplify the submit content process
- Make step 2 of the submit process easier to use with less items on it
- Give users feedback on how successful they were on fully optimizing their post for maximum distribution
- Make it easier to “re-mixx” (adding categories, groups, etc to an already submitted item)
- Block auto-import to Communities
- allow Mixxers have more control on what pieces of their submitted content gets auto-added to the numerous communities around Mixx
- Top Comment Badge
- Give a badge in the Lounge to the single comment that has gained the most kudos in any given day.
- By doing this, we’d keep the Top Kudos badge too–which is assigned to the Mixxer with the most kudos spread across multiple comments
- Random Button
- Allow a random browse to a random Mixx story
- Friend Finder
- Use our address book import or direct typing of email address to allow Mixxers to find friends registered with that email address on Mixx
- Option to move notifications out of email and into site notifications
- Create a notifications area to receive shares, sitemails, friend notifications, etc on Mixx.com instead of through email
- And while we’re at it, clean up some of our emails for those who still wish to receive them!
- History of Mixx Awards
- On the profile, enable users to browse backwards in time to revisit the sources of past awards acheived. Sort of like a trophy case.
- Ability to filter the Popular Page
- For instance, when viewing the popular page, allow a Mixxer to see their popular page without any Tech stories on it
